Waxing is especially effective as it removes the hair follicle and the hair root, ensuring the hair takes longer to grow back. The treatment can be combined with body hair clipping to help provide a smooth transition between hair-free areas.

WHAT IS IT What is Waxing. Mens waxing is an integral part of any mans grooming regime and one of the most effective methods for removing unwanted body hair. A thin layer of warm liquid wax is applied to the skin and hair, and once hardened, the wax and encapsulate hair are pulled off in the opposite direction to the hairs growth, ensuring both hair follicle and its root are removed from the skin. This type of hair removal method is especially effective because removing the hair root means the hair takes longer to grow back and is often smaller and softer. Waxing itself has a reputation of being quite painful, and there are some sensitive areas of skin and bundles of nerves in various bodily locations that help with that stigma, however, I have found that it's the anticipation that is the worst part, with the hair removal itself being more akin to ripping a band-aid off. Through correct method, product selection and the use of high quality pre and post waxing products, I strive to offer a waxing service with minimal discomfort, irritation and redness while maximising on efficacy and treatment outcome. Waxing, is as with everything in life, the more it is done the easier it gets. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about this modality or if i can help with any of your hair removal concerns.
WHAT TO EXPECT What to expect from Waxing. You will need to do a little prep work before you wax, cleanliness is always appreciated before any treatment Hair needs to be at least 0.5cm in order for it to be long enough for removal by wax A high quality pre-wax solution is applied to the skin to be epilated. This cleanser has anti-bacteria properties, helping to minimise the risk of infection once the hair is removed and the skin has been broken. The technician will hold the skin tight while systematically applying and removing warm liquid wax in small methodical sections until the desired area is hair free. For areas containing thick (terminal) hair, such as the pubic region, hot wax is applied, allowed too cool and removed. For areas containing thin (vellus) hair, such as back, arms and legs, warm liquid waxed is used with cotton strips for removal. A high quality post wax soothing gel is applied to the skin after treatment. Its active ingredients help close pores, reduce the risk of infection, minimise redness, soothe the micro trauma caused to the skin, leaving it feeling soft, hydrated and luxuriously hair-free. Redness and sensitivity can be expected anywhere from an hour to 24 hours post treatment. However just a few hours of redness and sensitivity is most common. It is advised that sweating, hot showers and fragrances should be avoid for 24 hours post treatment as they can open the pores and increase the risk of infection.
